Katina has a passion for patient care and began as a certified nursing assistant while still in High School. In 1999 she started her career by obtaining her License Practical Nursing degree (LPN). She went on to obtain her Registered Nurse (RN) license the following year. As a RN she worked 7 years in the Emergency Room full time, also working at Redi-med and Wabash Hospital Home Health Care part time.
In 2005 she returned to school and pursued her career to the next level as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) at IUPUI college and graduated in 2008 with High Honors. For the next 5 years she worked specializing in pain management. This position allowed for Family Practice Medicine along with Psychiatric care for those dealing with chronic pain. She was drawn to Mental Health Care during these years and chose to return to IUPUI in 2011, once again graduating with High Honors and obtaining her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner degree (PMHNP).
Since receiving her PMHNP degree she has provided care for both emergency in-patient and long term out-patient needs.

Barb is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She received her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Kentucky and her undergraduate degree from Miami University. Barb believes that her role as a social worker is to help improve the outcome of people's lives by supporting individuals and families through difficult times, helping them to find hope and healing and to reach their fullest potential.. Barb has experience working with depression, anxiety, trauma related issues, behavioral issues and grief and loss.
